A Message From The Superintendent

Mr. Grimes is in his 6th year as the superintendent of Roosevelt ISD.  He has served the district overall for 15 years. He has also worked for Levelland ISD and Frenship ISD. He is a graduate of Texas Tech University and a lifelong resident of Lubbock County. He and his wife Melissa have four children who all attend Roosevelt ISD.

"I want to encourage folks to consider residing within the Roosevelt ISD boundaries. We are proud of our school and this community. It provides a perfect balance between offering enough programs for everyone to explore a subject in which they are passionate about, while offering the small school setting which is appealing to so many families."

Roosevelt ISD

Roosevelt Independent School District provides a child-centered educational environment in which every student is individually valued. RISD is a small, innovative school district located 8 1/2 miles east of Lubbock, Texas, serving the communities of Ransom Canyon, Buffalo Springs, and Acuff. We are committed to educational excellence and opportunity for all students. RISD has small school advantages not available in other Lubbock districts. The district is ethnically diverse and proud that children from various backgrounds respect and learn from one another. We recognize and celebrate each individual's strengths and successes. Our students and dedicated staff are proud to be Roosevelt Eagles!
